$ANSEM, officially named The Black Bull, is a Solana memecoin tied to the crypto trader Ansem. It surged nearly 20,000% in a week, peaked at a $449 million market cap on July 7, lost more than 60% of its value in the two weeks after, and jumped 21.8% on Monday when Ansem posted his bull run thesis. That is the whole story in one paragraph.

Here is everything behind it, and what to know before you touch it.

What Is $ANSEM?

$ANSEM is a memecoin on the Solana blockchain, launched under the name The Black Bull. Like most memecoins, it has no product, no revenue, and no utility. Its value is a bet on attention, and specifically on the attention of one person.

The token’s defining feature is its holder structure: Ansem himself controls more than 60% of the total supply. That concentration is the single most important fact about this token. When he moves, everything moves.

Who Is Ansem?

Ansem is a Solana trader who posts on X as blknoiz06. He built his reputation on early Solana calls and has one of the largest followings in crypto trading. When he tweets about a token, markets react within minutes. In July 2026, that token is usually his own.

How the Token Went Vertical

The surge had a specific trigger. Ansem pledged to airdrop his weekly creator fees to token holders. Traders piled in, and $ANSEM gained nearly 20,000% in a single week. The market cap peaked at $449 million on July 7, according to tracking data from GMGN, a Solana analytics platform.

Then the floor gave out. Over the next two weeks the token fell more than 60%. Ansem’s own holdings dropped from roughly $260 million to $97.9 million, a paper loss of about $160 million. He did not sell, which means both the gain and the loss existed mostly on paper. That is how 60% supply concentration works in both directions.

What Happened on Monday

On July 20, Ansem posted a thesis on X arguing that crypto’s next bull run could see record retail demand. “We have way better mobile & consumer UX experiences for trading this cycle,” he wrote, adding that the market now serves speculators from two directions: “serious narratives around trading perps on established companies to the degen setup of trading memecoins & microcaps. Both will attract speculators in droves.”

$ANSEM jumped 21.8% in 24 hours to $0.219 after the post. For context on his framing: Solana trades roughly 75% below its all-time high, and bitcoin and ethereum only found their footing last week after a soft inflation print.

“We have way better mobile & consumer UX experiences for trading this cycle.”

The Pump.fun Connection

Ansem has spent July publicly pressuring Pump.fun, the Solana token launchpad, to reward early users with an airdrop. “All im saying is if they give the trenches a $250-$300M airdrop stimmy as solana is breaking out,” he wrote.

Pump.fun has gone the other way. The platform raised $4 billion in one of crypto’s largest token launches, but PUMP trades more than 80% below its September 2025 peak. Instead of an airdrop, it burned $370 million in tokens (36% of supply) in April and committed half its revenue to buybacks for a year. Roughly $133 million in PUMP unlocked to early investors on July 12, about one-fifth of circulating supply.

The Risks, Plainly

Every memecoin risk applies here, amplified. One person controls a supermajority of supply. The price history shows 60% drawdowns inside two weeks. Liquidity is thin relative to the market cap at peaks. And the token’s main catalyst is a single X account. BlockBeats, which reported the market cap data, attached its own warning: memecoins are “largely driven by market sentiment and hype, with no real value or utility.”

None of this is investment advice. It is a description of the machine. The machine is working as designed.
