Minh is trying to quote tweet the stream link when his cat walks into frame. Then a second cat. He apologizes, loses his train of thought, asks what the question was. “The cat coins are about to run,” he says, and for a second the trader who spent the last two weeks at the center of the crypto timeline is just a guy in his living room with two animals who want attention.

The question was how he got out of debt. The longer answer runs from Yu-Gi-Oh cards and a RuneScape Santa hat to a credit card spent on Litecoin in 2017, and it ends, for now, with the trade everyone wants to ask him about. Last month, Minh put roughly 2% of the supply of $CYBERLEEK, a Solana memecoin attached to an anonymous account leaking Grand Theft Auto VI footage with QR codes stamped on every clip, into a public portfolio he had started with $1,000 on the social trading app Fomo. He bought when the coin sat near a $1 million market cap. He went red. He kept buying. Then the developer burned about a quarter of the supply, the coin ran past $20 million and Minh’s position peaked at roughly half a million dollars in unrealized profit, all of it visible to anyone with the app.

He sold his initials at around $300,000 in profit. He held the rest. The coin round-tripped, and so did most of the gain. Today he is back to about $80,000 up on the challenge, still holding, still posting, and unusually clear-eyed about what went wrong. He wishes he had sold half when everyone was celebrating. He knows exactly why he did not.

Minh came up in the NFT era making vlogs from Azuki events and Art Basel that looked better than anything else on the timeline, and he has traded in public ever since, using X as a journal first and an audience second. He is one of the few traders who has now run a position from entry to blowoff to drawdown with every buy and sell on display, which makes him a useful case study in what social trading does to a person’s head.

Now Media co-founder and CEO Matt Medved sat down with Minh on the Now Media stream to talk about the CyberLeek trade, the psychology of the round trip, the morning routine he abandoned at exactly the wrong moment and why he thinks trading is about to become the dominant format on social media.

Matt Medved: Let’s set the stage for people who only know you from the trade. How did you get into crypto, and how did you get out of debt?

Minh: I talk to friends from 10 years ago and they ask me all the time if what I’m posting is a LARP. If you zoom out and you’re not part of this world, it seems unfathomable. But I remember seeing those stories back in the ICO days, and I never thought any of them were fake. They inspired me. They opened my mind to what was possible.

My first crypto buys were Litecoin, because I thought it was the silver to Bitcoin’s gold. Then some Ethereum, some Cardano. I bought with my credit card. I was already in student loan debt and some credit card debt, and I had a good job, but I went into more credit card debt to buy crypto. That was 2017. I left it there, and then during COVID I used my stimulus checks to buy more Ethereum for under $100.

Where did the conviction come from at that point?

Twofold. One, it felt like gambling. Ethereum would go up 30% in a day. That’s crazy. Two, I actually believed we would use digital money one day. I come from gaming. I was always fascinated by your stats in Call of Duty, your clan. FaZe Clan was so cool to me. I loved RuneScape. I put in so many hours and met my realest friends through it. And trading, I learned from RuneScape and Yu-Gi-Oh.

In RuneScape there was this item called a Santa hat. I was obsessed with getting one. I would mine gold, figure out any way to earn enough in-game money to buy it. I dedicated a whole year of my real life to it. Back then the only way to move a rare item between your own accounts was to drop it in an exact spot on the server, wait 30 seconds and pick it up with the other account. I dropped the Santa hat after a year of grinding, and my internet went out. It kicked me out of the server. By the time I got back in, the hat was gone.

That taught me so much. But on the path to getting it, I learned about trading, arbitrage, what items could be hot next.

at first i discounted fomo as just another trading app

sure, some people would run small ports up, but what's the point of doxxing when you're trading? the ones that do well have no need to do it. i didnt understand it.

but now it seems a majority have moved over to trading in…

Let’s talk about the trade that took over the timeline. You’d announced a $1,000 challenge on Fomo. What was the goal?

I think public trading is one of the coolest things in the world, and I didn’t think that when I first saw Fomo. I thought it was another trading protocol with a cool name. What’s happening right now is above my wildest dreams as a trader.

I’ve done all my trading publicly since the beginning. I started with about $1,300 in ETH years ago, tried to flip it up with NFTs and used Twitter as a journal to keep myself accountable. I didn’t realize at the time that it could also educate and entertain people. This was the first time I could do the full thing, beginning to end, in public. I like using myself as a guinea pig.

The goal is $1,000 to $1 million, publicly. We were halfway there last week if I had sold everything, before slippage. Right now I’m up about $80,000. What I’m most proud of is that it’s a consistent trajectory up, with spikes and valleys.

What was the thesis on CyberLeek?

First, I’m grateful to everybody, because that support meant a lot. I’ve won a lot in the past, but I’ve never seen it like this. That’s the social trading element. Second, I think I was the only main person talking about this at all. It was a huge aura gamble. Either I’m an idiot, which I’ve been many times and I’m completely okay with, or it gets proven right to some degree.

The trade itself: this account was leaking GTA footage. I hypothesized it was a marketing activation, and that could be totally wrong. But these videos had billions of views. As someone who’s into marketing and social media, you understand what that means. They were breaking the internet. And throughout all the leaks, there was a QR code for a Solana coin. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. Have you?

With all that attention, it was sitting at a $1 million market cap. We have actual slop that runs to a million every day. This had a great website, a great narrative, even if it was a psyop. Dexerto, basically the number one gaming publication in the world, published an article called “Who is Cyberleek?” with the memecoin address right in the middle. TikTokers were making viral conspiracy videos about it. And it just sat at a million. To me that’s undervalued.

“Trading is all about asymmetric upside. The risk was it goes to zero. The reward was at least a 10x. You want to take that trade every single time.”
MINH

Trading is all about asymmetric upside. The risk was it goes to zero, everything I put in is gone. The reward for me was at least a 10x. You want to take that trade every single time. The reason I sized in so heavily is that I found it fascinating. I love gaming. I love the timing with GTA. I love the storytelling. So I made a big bet, about 2% of the supply, and it soared.

Talk about the psychology of the buys after you were already down. No matter how much confidence you have, being red tests you.

If you look at my activity over the first couple of days, there’s a bunch of buys and a bunch of sells. That was exactly what was going on in my head. Confusion. Why is this such a good coin, but I feel like I’m getting farmed? Right before it would break out, it would nuke. It made no sense to me. I de-risked, I rebought, I de-risked.

Then the next morning I woke up, took a step back and said, okay, chill out. What is your actual thesis? It’s undervalued. It’s fascinating. They’ll continue to drive attention. So I set a number. I go off percentages of supply rather than dollars in, which is a big change from two years ago. I wanted 2% of this thing, which is a lot. One percent is usually a crazy amount. Two is crazier.

I got there that day, and then I told my best friends, my wife and my family: it’s in the universe’s hands now. I made my bet. If it plays out, awesome. If it doesn’t, dope. I learned that from poker. You should never go all in trading, but this was one of those bets, and once the dealer deals the cards you can’t tell the dealer what to deal. I took a bet I thought was 80-20, 70-30, and I let it play out. It played out perfectly at the beginning.

What did it feel like when it took off?

The most euphoric moment was when they burned supply. That had been the scariest part, because it was the easiest way to go to zero. They had 26% of the supply loose. One candle and it’s done. If my thesis was right, that this was a bigger movement than someone trying to farm us, then they would do something like a burn. They burned it, and they paired it with another leak. That’s when I finally felt safe in the trade. It was fully diluted.

That day it ran from about $60,000 in profit to $200,000. I had dinner, I got drunk because it was too much for me, and it went to $300,000. I sold my initials that night, one, to remind everybody this is a trade and I’m ideally going to sell everything, and two, because that’s how I always trade. The first day was perfect execution. The second, third and beyond, I could have executed better, and I think that had to do with lack of sleep and cortisol.

Everyone was following along and cheering. That’s a lot of pressure to sleep on.

The pressure came from inside. I’ve been in moments like this before. The ETH long was very public, and that one was lucky. People followed along with my WIF trade and my PUPS trade and cheered me on. So I told everybody from the first day that the pressure was executing this trade to the best of my ability, and in my mind that meant not paper handing. In past cycles I definitely would have sold more.

Being the number one holder on a public trading app, I wanted to keep that title. That’s a gamer leaderboard thing. The number two guy was always a tenth of a percent under me. He could have easily topped me and he said, nah brother, I don’t want to do that. There’s an honor code with all this stuff. I was just having fun.

But I wish I played it better. I wish I sold at least half, around $250,000, when everybody was celebrating. People would have celebrated the execution and the profit from being right. I think I let a lot of people down in that way. I let myself down. But it is what it is. We’re blessed to even be here.

You said at the time that you weren’t selling because the trade hadn’t completed to your thesis.

Just because the trade hasn’t completed to my thesis doesn’t mean I can’t take profit on the way. That was my biggest mistake. I love trusting my gut, but overconfidence in the gut is a killer. It’s a double-edged sword. I was very confident it was undervalued. That was true. But I didn’t think about the timeline. My gut said it’s undervalued and it will go up. It did that. I thought it would take months. It did that in two days. I didn’t realize my initial thesis had already played out.

Two things stuck with me afterward. An older friend told me that on a crazy trade like that, you want to sell a third or a half and then regret that you sold too early. That blew my mind. The second: do you see anybody beating themselves up for not knowing yesterday’s lotto numbers? Zeneca talks about infinite regrets all the time. You just keep going.

“I love trusting my gut, but overconfidence in the gut is a killer. I thought it would take months. It did that in two days.”

Let’s talk logistics. When you’re the top holder with that much attention on you, selling isn’t as simple as clicking a button.

If people believe in the thesis, the coin does what it does with or without me. And if you look through my posts, I never bull posted CyberLeek beyond the first thesis that it was undervalued at a million, because my plan was to sell. It’s still the plan.

You can look at someone on chain and see how they move. Jalen Brunson: pump fake, dribble, angle, layup. You can see patterns. But you can’t assume every player plays the same. Some people full stack out. Some devs with 26% of the supply will dump it, some will burn it, some will market make with it. If I were in that position again, I would do what I did with my initials and sell in $5,000 to $10,000 clips. You can still believe in the coin and take profit. You need systems. You could also put it into an LP position, but I wanted all my buys and sells to be public.

Maybe the coin dips because people say Minh is selling, which is totally okay. If I could play it again, I’d trim down to 1%, and I would have accepted that it was okay to no longer be the top holder. That was the hiccup. I wanted to stay top holder for the vibes, and because of that I couldn’t execute on profit taking. Being the number one trader on Fomo that day was sick, P&L wise. If it was realized, it would have been even cooler.

Talk about the psychology of the round trip. You were tweeting through the whole thing and you could feel the shifts from the outside.

Do you know Jocko Willink, the Navy SEAL? I remember him on a podcast saying that in his hardest moments he had to zoom out and watch Jocko as a piece on the board, from a third-person point of view. I try to do that all the time. Athletes do it too. And I journal. I use Twitter to hopefully inspire, educate and entertain, but I use it for myself. It’s how I vent and talk to myself through the highs and lows.

The psychology is this: you can’t let the wins get to you and you can’t let the losses get to you. You keep going and stay consistent. When I was up on paper, it was like, nice. When I round-tripped, it was like, nice. Pretty neutral throughout. I manifested this when I was younger. I said, when future Minh is in these crazy positions, he won’t think much of it. That’s how he got there.

“When I was up on paper, it was like, nice. When I round-tripped, it was like, nice. Pretty neutral throughout.”
MINH

How did your previous big trades shape this one?

The most similar one was PUPS. WIF was luck and then execution. I bought WIF for $1,000 before I got married, and then I was forced to hold it because I completely forgot I had it. We had the wedding, the honeymoon, then Art Basel, where we met at your Gateway party. I had a huge bag of WIF that whole time and no idea. When I got home a month later, I opened Phantom and saw more money than I’d ever seen in my life. My trading friends told me to zoom out and look at the trade from where it was that day, around a $20 million market cap, and my thesis became at least $100 million to $300 million. That’s how I clipped out.

PUPS was high conviction. I knew in my gut that BRC-20s would turn into Runes, and people were beginning to talk about Runes, and I thought, people don’t realize you can basically buy presale Runes right now. I bought a bunch of PUPS with my Bitcoin Puppets profits and held. It blew up, Ansem and Arthur tweeted about it, Runes launched. I trimmed every week, and at the end I had a 20% moon bag. That was the perfect trade. But the beauty of PUPS is that it took a long time. CyberLeek happened so fast. I’m fine stomaching 50% volatility. Going from $500,000 unrealized to $250,000, I can stomach. I’d never been down like this, because I thought the narrative would continue.

Where’s your head at with CyberLeek now?

I don’t know. At the beginning I really thought it was Rockstar’s marketing team or somebody aligned with Rockstar, because everything they did looked like the perfect marketing plan for the Netflix drop and beyond. As a gamer and a crypto head, that’s the dream: on-chain items we actually own. Imagine if I owned the Santa hat from RuneScape. The most viral leak was the guy on the boat saying they can’t do anything about him, he has a VPN. He was also the last character in the extended trailer, shaking Jason’s and Lucia’s hands and saying, trust me.

Then I talked to AI over the weekend and it said, yes, I understand how you think all this is connected, but maybe somebody just got hold of the marketing plan, role played as Cal and 5D-chessed you. So now I’m looking at other trades.

Losing a lot of money is hard. A lot of people overtrade after that, or try to win it back quick. I’ve been through it so many times that now I try to get back to neutral as fast as possible. I hit a $3,000 to $25,000 trade yesterday, so I’m back to normal. With CyberLeek I’ll keep watching the variables. I might sell everything today. I might not. I can do that any time I want, and I want people to understand that. Never assume someone on chain will do a certain thing.

You’ve talked publicly about your routine, the fitness, the meditation. What does a normal day look like for you?

Going back to last week, I completely gave up my foundation. I didn’t sleep. I ate all kinds of food. I speed ran my meditation. I think that’s why I lost my ability to execute. If you lose the foundation, how do you expect the building to stand?

My days are pretty boring, and I’m so grateful for slow mornings. It all starts the night before. I try to go to bed around 10 or 11. No electronics. I spend time with my wife and we play games, or we watch K-dramas.

Then I wake up naturally around 7, brush my teeth with my opposite hand and really look in the mirror and tell myself I love you. Don’t speed run it. It’s odd at first. During that last week I did that when we were up $500,000 and when I round-tripped $400,000. Give yourself grace. Then I drink a liter of water with electrolytes and Celtic salt, and I go outside for 10 minutes of sun, still no phone, which I broke last week. Checking the chart first thing is like waking up and playing video games. That dopamine hit. But it made the trade the most important part of my day, and it shouldn’t be.

Outside, I close my eyes and meditate for 10 minutes. Breathing, gratitude, coming back to center. If you wear a WHOOP or an Oura ring, you can see yourself drop into a parasympathetic state. After that I check emails, journal what I have to do, work out and start the day. If I do all that every morning, I’ve already won the day. And I did all of it when I was broke, too. That’s allocation of time and willpower.

The first thing I ever saw from you was your vlogs, the event recaps from Azuki and everywhere else. What role has content played, then and now?

The role is the same as it’s always been. It’s my constant. I’ll celebrate making $1,300 a month on Twitter and I’ll celebrate a $100,000 P&L the same way, because the video has always been the constant. It’s what kept me level-headed and afloat through the bear and the bull. If you one day own an entire city in Japan, and going outside to trim the leaves every day was a big part of how you got there, you’ll still go out and trim the leaves no matter how big the garden gets.

I haven’t really talked about this, but deep down I want to reform the education system. Maybe in 20 years. Maybe 10. My biggest learnings have come from weird places. Yu-Gi-Oh. Basketball. Jazz band. RuneScape and Call of Duty. The fitness wave 10 years ago, when Gymshark started. You can learn a lot in the classroom, but I learned more from the people around the classroom.

fomo is a great app, but it makes it so easy to rotate when really that’s not how you win longterm

you win in trading by seeing asymmetric opportunity early, sizing comfortably, and letting your thesis play out

if it doesn’t, that’s okay, that’s a “good” loss to take

— ۟ (@MINHxDYNASTY) September 7, 2026

Where are we in the cycle, and how are you positioning?

For the first time ever, I think all my worlds are combining, and it’s exciting. I had a call with my team three weeks ago and said I think trading in internet capital markets will be the meta of social media. The meta for the last three years was streaming, then clipping. Now our world becomes the meta. My biggest conviction bet is always myself, but I think public trading apps are huge. I love Fomo. If you like Pump.fun, use Pump.fun. If you’re a good trader and you can show merit and skill, you should use one of these. It’s one of the most plus-EV bets you can make.

Second, in cycles you want to be more risk on as early as possible. This may be the craziest dead cat bounce ever. But I’m playing it as the beginning of something great, and if I see information that tells me I’m wrong, I’ll adjust. Fomo has completely changed how people hold, and it reminds me of the first era of meme coin trading I learned in, with Mog and Smurf Cat.

Through all of it I’m going to keep building my name, keep trying to educate, inspire and entertain by using myself as the guinea pig, and try to do everything exceptionally well. I get that from my wife. I spray and pray. My wife is a sniper. She’ll make sure the bullet is pretty, engraved, probably made of gold and hits exactly where she’s aiming. I try to embody that. So just continue being blessed, hopefully, and healthy.
