Easy is short Solana while we talk. The chart is open on one of three monitors, and somewhere in the middle of a question about the four-year cycle he glances over to decide whether to add to the position or cut it. He does neither. He sits on his hands, which is the thing he has been telling himself to do all week.

It is a strange week to be preaching patience. Crypto has printed green candle after green candle, Robinhood Chain is minting an NFT summer nobody saw coming, and everyone wants to know the catalyst. Easy does not think there is one. He has a cash position he is in no hurry to deploy and a set of Bitcoin levels he wants to see close before he adds exposure. People call him a doomer. He shrugs.

The patience is hard-won. Easy, who streams daily as Not So Easy Money and has tweeted every morning for five years, turned $15,000 into roughly $600,000 in the 2017 altcoin run and lost all of it in about 40 hours. He has been on both sides of the extreme, and the philosophy he trades by now is built out of those scars. Between the charts, he has built a content business with BoDoggos, the crypto entertainment company he runs with Nick, Clemente, and Pio, and recently launched SponsorEasy, a live board where brands claim ad placements on his daily stream.

Now Media co-founder and CEO Matt Medved sat down with Easy for an hour on the Now Media stream to talk about the rally, the Fed, social trading, and what it takes to make money making content.

Matt Medved: It’s quite a week to be talking. Where’s your head at with the crypto market?

Easy: Everyone’s been trying to ask what the catalyst is. Truthfully, I don’t think it’s any single catalyst. The crypto summit was very interesting, to have that kind of push where Hyperliquid was mentioned. Obviously Hyperliquid is probably coming into the U.S. market in some capacity. We’ve never really had perps in the U.S. Kalshi is the first product that allows it, but it’s still smaller leverage there.

On top of that, there’s a narrative a lot of people aren’t crediting the run to, which is RWAs. I look at real-world assets on Base, Robinhood, BNB, Solana, and there is very much something here. The RWA sector has tripled in value in a year, and people believe it’s only going to continue to scale.

Did you expect the NFT resurgence on Robinhood Chain, or was that a surprise?

That was a surprise. I’m a massive equity holder for Robinhood. I’ve been holding it since sub-$40 and I think $400 a share is very attainable. I had this thesis about Gen Z banks. Where you end up banking is where you stay, and Robinhood dominates that with younger generations. What was really interesting on the NFT side is that we saw the move with FWA first. That picked up a ton of traction, and FWA was a very novel primitive that did incredibly well.

Thesis playing out exactly as i thought.

All time high # of spins as people chase the FWAir pfps.

Flywheel will be glorious as the increased fees and revenue buyback the token.

FWA has had quite the trajectory. The rise, the crash, the pivot on fees and buybacks, and now FWAir turning into a launchpad. What’s your take?

I like it a lot. It’s a new way to launch stuff. StonkBrokers has their own swing at something similar with the Stonk Launchpad, but FWA gamified it even more. Rhynotic did a great job taking what isn’t new tech, because it’s a gacha machine, and putting a spin on it that’s extremely crypto native. In order to get exposure to a token that people were so confident would have buybacks, you had to spin. You had to rip and spin and rip and spin.

I’m long FWA. I have a pretty decent spot bag because my thought was they’re going to get quality NFTs in there, and it won’t be spam because it’s somewhat gated. You already have these 111 NFTs going in that are PFPs of people. I saw one of gmoney. They really tapped into ETH culture. If you get one, the person it’s of is going to want it. That creates a demand loop. More people chasing leads to more volume, which leads to more buybacks.

Are we primed for a bigger NFT comeback this cycle, or are people getting ahead of themselves?

I think we’re getting ahead of ourselves. What’s crazy is Panini, the trading card company, their blockchain is doing an unreal amount of volume simply from the TCG wave. People like collectibles. That’s so clear. I want to believe digital collectibles will have their place, but I don’t know if it’s going to look the way it did last time. Ten thousand PFPs minted for access to some speculative return. People got so excited that we were chasing NFTs to make money, and that was basically the extent of it.

“You can be late to the party. You just don’t want to be the last one to leave. I don’t have to tick the bottom. I just don’t want to be the last one holding the bag.”
EASY

You came up flipping sneakers and cars, then trading cards, then Top Shot. How did that make you a better trader?

A lot of it is lessons. The cycles of holding and hoping it goes higher instead of cutting and taking profit. I was trading crypto from 2016 to 2018. I ran something like $15,000 to $600,000 and got zeroed out shortly after Christmas. My bank account had about $20 in it. I went from euphoria to zero in a 40-hour window. Then I watched a Top Shot portfolio go from $500 to $30,000 back to zero. I’ve been on both sides of that extreme.

I started trading equities at 16, and I’ve always done well there because I’m a much longer-term trader with stocks than with crypto. With crypto I’m very aggressive. People make fun of me for paper-handing stuff and I’ve never cared, because it’s more money in my pocket. Last run I had a full thesis on Believe Coin at $6 million, shared it with the BoDoggos whales, and it ran to $300 million plus. That reminded me: when I have conviction, stop chasing and hyper-rotating. I do much better with perps and prop accounts, where it’s trading spots on a chart with set stop losses and take profits, versus needing to hit the next 10x just to survive.

How are you allocated right now?

I’m still not fully allocated to crypto. I have a decent cash position intentionally, and I don’t mind if I missed the bottom. I hold a large Solana position I bought sub-$20 and just staked. I put it on a Ledger and tucked the Ledger in a safety deposit box out of state, because I knew I would have sold it. I have targets closer to $400, and if it never gets there, the 8% staking yield has been great and I’m still up.

I’m allocated to Near, which I’m a big believer in because of their AI participation. I’m fairly allocated to HYPE, which I got into around the $40s and have been scaling out of slowly. And I have cash because I still think we test cycle lows. People say I’m a doomer. Maybe. But when everyone is this euphoric, I have set levels I’m watching. If we get a couple of closes over $85,000 on Bitcoin, I can get exposure, and I’m fine missing that 33% move to be comfortable with much less downside. You can be late to the party. You just don’t want to be the last one to leave.

It would appear on-chain is in FULL SWING.

So much is happening every single day and i know its near IMPOSSIBLE to keep up with it.

You tweeted that we might still retest the lows. What’s motivating that?

Bitcoin trades significantly more aligned with TradFi than people want to admit, so I watch oil, the dollar index, and FedWatch every day, and those matter more to me than a four-year cycle. The situation in Iran is still ongoing. The MOU is paused, so an attack could start at any time, and markets hate uncertainty. Kevin Warsh has largely set the tone for consistent uncertainty. There’s no FOMC in August, so there’s a vacuum until September, and Warsh isn’t releasing dot plots or forecasting where he thinks inflation is going. Every Fed chair has historically given some semblance of what they believe will happen. He doesn’t.

We’ve gone from three rate cuts this year to potentially three hikes to now flat. If there’s any feeling that inflation isn’t cooling, we could see a sell-off. I’m not saying we retest the $58,000 lows. More like $60,000 to $65,000. If we retested that, the timeline would be in shambles. I’d rather account for it than pretend it won’t happen.

“Copy trading is the least effective form of trading, in my opinion. It’s a tool that can help you get better. It’s not a tool to help you make money.”
EASY

Social trading is the buzz right now, and you have a partnership with fomo. It feels like it’s driving the trenches differently than last cycle. What’s your read?

The biggest thing is that you can see people’s thesis and how they navigate it. That’s more interesting than blindly copy trading. I’ve been anti-copy-trade for so long, because you don’t know their catalyst, when they’re going to buy more or sell, what their stops are. Understanding why they entered a trade is the most interesting part of what fomo is doing.

I interviewed Qwerty when he was up a million dollars on Niu Lai. I asked how he exits. He said there are two options: a Binance Alpha listing, or CZ interacts with a tweet. Both happened within 72 hours of one another, and the listing came almost immediately after the stream ended. He scaled out about $400,000 on a $40,000 buy and left a moon bag. That’s the better part of social trading. We can get into the minds of how these people navigate the market. It should be a resource, and as a trader, ultimately it’s your P&L, as long as you’re not dumping on followers. Don’t bull post something as you’re selling it.

What about the bad trades? What have you learned from them about this market?

I’ve just been overtrading. I want to click buttons. I see people making a ton of money on fomo and I want to go make a ton of money on fomo, so I swing without a thesis. No narrative, no exit strategy. If you don’t have a stop loss or a take profit, you’re not doing what you should be doing. I want to fomo so bad. Yesterday I bought SOL on the first breakout and hit a great trade, then tried to short and got stopped out, then sat on my hands. The majority of my bad trades are wanting to be in a trade when I don’t need to be.

What does an average day look like?

I live on a farm, so the first thing I do is take care of animals. I don’t look at anything, not even prices. I do my absolute best not to let that dictate the start of my day, despite wanting to badly. I’m in the office around 8 and immediately open the charts. I check the dollar, ES, S&P, and Nasdaq futures to see how the open looks, then crypto, then oil, then FedWatch for any shift. Then whatever data releases at 8:30. Stream at 9, we trade the open at 9:30, and the rest of the day is grinding out a million things. Charts are open all day. Even while we’re talking, I’m in a SOL short.

You can also leave a Memescope or fomo open all day and be aware of the news faster than X will break it. Meme coins are almost a new news source. When the Luigi Mangione story happened, I found out through a meme coin. If Elon posts, there’s a higher chance you see the meme coin about the tweet before you see the tweet.

“If your goal is to make money off content, make content about making money.”
EASY

You have the daily stream, YouTube, a new push on Instagram, and you changed your handle to Not So Easy Money. What’s the content strategy?

The name change was very intentional. Crypto was slowing down, TradFi was running, and Easy Eats Bodega is less memorable than Not So Easy Money for something trading-focused. If the cycle is returning, I want to get more reps in and be at the forefront as a voice of reason. A thesis video on the Mexico near-shoring trade did five or six thousand views, so people do enjoy TradFi content. Then I posted a meme coin trading guide for the fomo app and it’s now my third most-viewed video. So I guess we’re never leaving crypto.

The most interesting part is understanding where to meet your audience. Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are a much newer audience than X. On X I can post a sentence that would make the average person wonder what the hell I’m talking about. On the other platforms I slow it down and go back to an educational tone. I’ve been on X five years as of this month, 147,000 followers from zero. YouTube has been hands down the hardest. I finally broke 10K and thought, okay, now what?

Tell me about SponsorEasy. Where did that come from?

Nick and I talk way too much. About a month and a half ago, when he started streaming again, he wasn’t sure how to monetize. I told him to launch a ticker tape where anybody can buy a spot dirt cheap. Then Jack Butcher released Words, where anybody could buy a letter, and I thought, he beat us to it. Nick was taking forever, so I just went and did it.

I’d seen Ben Greenwald’s Million Dollar Toilet and wondered if there was a way to do that for streams, because there’s dead air at the start, when I leave the desk, and during the outro. Can you monetize that like a traditional billboard? It ran really hard the first few days, and now brands just hit us up. It’s a very simple sell: brand placement, branded logo, I talk about it briefly on stream. Now Nick and I both run it, and a couple of other creators are trying it.

If you are interested in taking over the board.

DM me, we are open to talking more, and there are going to be A LOT of digital real estate people can get exposure to.

Or wanna even steal a spot right now https://t.co/3KqPmK1oJF
— Easy (@NotSoEasyMoney) July 22, 2026

What’s your advice for someone starting now who wants to make content and, crucially, monetize it?

First and foremost, hit record. The hardest part is starting and staying consistent. I’ve tweeted every morning for five years without a hiccup, because what happened yesterday doesn’t matter and what happens tomorrow doesn’t matter. It’s one swing at a time. So many people are hesitant because it might be cringe. Everyone has so much else going on that they won’t remember it tomorrow. I look at my first videos and they’re terrible. People say I’m a natural. It sounds that way because it’s been five years in the making.

On monetization, it’s a little bit of both. Make content you enjoy, and when you’re starting, find brands you align with. If you take bad partnerships early that nobody else on the timeline is posting about, you’re probably selling out. If your goal is to make money off content, make content about making money. I always go back to the three E’s: education, entertainment, or equity, meaning increasing their bankroll. The best part of our business is we have all three. Clemente and Pio dominate the entertainment side. Nick is hyper-focused on entrepreneurship and using AI to scale. I’m on the equity and trading education side. The industry is still small enough that everybody can eat.

How are you using AI day to day?

Twenty-four seven. I have Codex open right now and a Claude window too. I use both for code, and I tap it directly into a GitHub instance. I have a software development background, which gives me what I like to think is an unfair advantage. If you use an app every day, you can largely remake it, save the subscription, and tailor it to what you need. My daily meme coin recap is automated: press a command, it runs, tells me everything. I have a morning brief that sends me everything going on. On the content side, there are days I don’t know what to tweet, and I’ll bother AI for stories, find one I actually think is interesting, and schedule four or five tweets for the day.

What are you excited about? What’s on the radar?

I’m very interested in what Rekt Tradooors does on Robinhood Chain. I’m interested in FWAir and which NFTs get in there. It would not shock me to see a Jack Butcher collection. The StonkBrokers ecosystem I’m fascinated by. The launchpad caused a sell-off because it didn’t live up to expectations, which is fair. Buy the rumor, sell the news. But I still think their ecosystem is awesome.

Outside of that, I think we pull back. People hate me for it, but we’re at resistance and I’m going to sit here and wait. I’m excited for in-person events. The AVAX Summit in New York, Token2049, KBW. So many people hold announcements for those, and you get a great read on what people are structuring toward. I think a lot of it will be RWAs. Stocks on chain, 23/5 trading by CME Group, a lot of that.
